My first political utterance was 'Janta Party Jindabad!' i was two years old then. From 1980 when the Janta Party fell apart like a pack of cards refusing to stay in the same deck, to 1984 when the sympathy wave for Congress (I) swept the opposition of their feet, there has been an talk amongst political analysts of India moving towards a two party dominance. Slowly the opinions changed towards an era of co-alition governments with Janta Dal coughing up VP Singh as Prime Minister in 1989 with support of Left Front (Janta Dal was itself a part of National Front) and BJP. Then on, there was no turning back.
